The Transition Program is a School-to-Work Program for students ages 14 to 22. Students are taught skills needed to "transition" from high school to attending college, getting a job, and living independently for the first time. Students learn daily living skills, assistive technology, orientation & mobility, and social skills to help them succeed in life.
School Year Program:
The school year program meets once monthly during a two-day residential weekend program. The students stay overnight at the Center to cultivate independent living skills, have classes focused on job and college readiness, and participate in community integration and career exploration field trips.
During the summer, students participate in a two-week intensive residential program. During this summer camp, the students have work experience during the day. They also participate in fun field trips in between work and regular classes.
